Not My ProblemFringeAL FRESCO is basically the outdoor theater division of the New York International Fringe Festival.  The two pieces we are doing are Not My Problem and Inside, Not Looking Out directed by Hiram Pines and Debora Balardini respectively.  I’ll be adding details as they come in.  I am including a letter we are sending out to friends and family looking for support in our work.

These are the wonderful people I am working with on this project:  Debora Balardini, Hiram Pines, Daniela Mastropietro, Sandie Luna, Perri Yaniv, Elisa Matula, Renee Brown (Pictured), and Memo (Me!)

Thanks and please leave comments!

Dear Friends,

I’m really happy to let you know that I’ll be performing in Not My Problem and Inside, Not Looking Out – together, a 30-minute program of outdoor theater – in this year’s New York International Fringe Festival.

Not My Problem explores the relationship between attitude and gesture; how our small, seemingly insignificant actions connect to feelings or attitudes within us. Responding to the disregard that people often have for their environment, Not My Problem asks is a street, sidewalk or subway platform, less sacred than any other place?

Inside, Not Looking Out is dedicated to the emancipation of the multifaceted human being from one-dimensional gender expression, focusing in particular on the presence of masculine and feminine intelligence in both man and woman.

I would like to proudly ask you to support our work. By contributing to this project, you become part of the intention of the project – it’s yours too. You become part of a like-minded community joined not by place, but by values. You are saying yes to art that seeks to heal, and that addresses core sentiments about what it means to be human. You are saying yes to art that aims to rebalance the masculine and feminine qualities in our nature.

$1 says yes. $25 says yes. As does $100. The sentiment remains constant; only the dollar amount changes. We need large and small contributions. The project will cost $7,000 to produce. Please say yes and decide what part you want to play.

Donating to the project is easy. Donate online at https://www.fracturedatlas.org/site/contribute/donate/2933.

Fractured Atlas is a 501(c)(3) non-profit umbrella arts organization. Your entire donation goes directly to us and is fully tax-deductible. You’ll receive the appropriate documentation for a charitable contribution.

Thank you for taking the time to hear our appeal. We’ll be sure to keep you posted with news, updates and success stories as the project unfolds.

Best wishes,

Memo
